ENSALADAS
|
"From this colorful music, impregnated with stylistic breaks, onomatopoeia and folklore, the singers deliver a version full of humor, poetry, picturesqueness and ardor, all in a delicious combination of languages..."

|
"The ensemble creates music that is easily accessible, fun and upbeat, contrary to the dusty image one might have of this era! El Fuego, El Toro, La Guerra, La Justa, La Bomba, El Jubilate... so many titles that we listen to calmly, unhurriedly, with a slight smile on our lips".

Classique Mais Pas Has Been - (21/09/2022)
"The ensaladas attracted us with their colours, their rhythms and their flexibility: they are full of life and magic. We were amazed by their quality, their naturalness, the topicality of their ideas and the feelings they convey, they are so advanced for their time! Their jokes and onomatopoeias amused us and we were captivated by the folk songs and dances of the past they contain. After five years singing this repertoire together, we have recorded this CD, a project that has matured in every rehearsal and every concert, with which we hope to transmit all the care and affection we have put into it: it will remain as evidence and memory of what we have enjoyed (and will enjoy) together thanks to this music.
This adventure has helped us reach the limits of music, laugh and get to know each other better. We have assembled our voices to find our sound, letting ourselves be carried away by the emotions of the text and looking for the inner flexibility of the words. With this CD we approach Renaissance men and women and we empathise with their stories, their longings, their worries and their vital perspectives. We bring them to the present and they help us find our identity..."
